Your Family Tree Report

Your Family Tree ReportClick Image To Visit Site We Are Only Given One Life On This Earth, And How Sad It Will Be If All The Memories And Happenings Of You And Your Ancestors Are Never Recorded, But Are Left To Be Swept Away Into Oblivion Within Two Generations.

"Inspiring story of a Great Granny who Defies The Odds…..Writing A World Class 80 Page Family Tree Report, Without Prior Skills Or Computer Know-How”

I realized that in my life time (which at 74 years, was quickly passing by)…that NO ONE…… just NO ONE….. Was going to write our Family History…..unless I did, sound familiar to you?

The more I thought about it, the sadder I became that all those hidden family stories would be lost forever, and I had nothing to pass onto my family.

About three years ago I started on my journey; a situation came about that I needed to learn the computer fast. I have to be honest with you, it was not an easy journey but an exciting one…. as I determined to learn about the computer, and write the Family Tree Report all at the same time……

Remember… I WAS A NEWBIE. I had no idea of the challenge ahead…..’Ignorance is bliss’….so they say.

I also remembered the Frustration and Muddle I went through trying to find the right websites. I looked on the Web for help….found nothing for a Newbie like me…… How many hours I wasted!…. I can’t begin to tell you……I remember thinking: “If only someone would show me or hand me a simple guide in… ‘How to gather and write Family History’….. in quick and easy to read English.”

You see most writers assume everyone is computer literate. After reading some of the Ancestry Guides my eyes would glaze over, and I would quickly drop the book….and think… ‘Why don’t you keep it simple stupid’……

Attention: Golden-Ager, Maternal Forbearers, Matriarchs, Patriarchs, Or Anyone Wishing To Preserve Their Ancestry by Writing Their Family Tree.

And yes it is absolutely true, I am a great grandmother, and until recently an Internet ‘NEWBIE’….But that is not why I’m writing to you. You see for many years I’d had a passion to study and record my family history…..

Just like you, I was scared….VERY SCARED of Technology….. Having been brought up on an isolated farm, with no electricity, no phone, no television, and the Internet was not even dreamed of. BUT one thing I did learn in my life was…. There is always a way to achieve your goals, and to NEVER GIVE UP.

Cousins would make a start to write the family history, but fade out. I took computer lessons, learned how the internet worked, discovered what hidden gems and resources it had for me.

I made friends and allies with librarians around the world and learned how to unearth records from long gone publications. I’m happy to say that after three long years of… Read more…

"Robert provided lots of initial information so that I was able to ask him to do a targeted search. I’m already formulating my next question/search for Ulster Ancestry. Thank you for a great experience"

"This task was the first one that Ulster Ancestry has completed for me. It won’t be the last. The researcher did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it. I was very pleased with the job he did and the manner in which he completed the project."

"I appreciate all of your efforts on my behalf. Ill be more than happy to recommend your services to anyone who asks me about a researcher in Ireland in the future."

If you are of Irish blood then you are almost certainly proud of the fact. Today a growing number of people all around the World feel the need to seek out their ancestry and family roots here in Ireland no matter how humble these origins may have been. Nothing could be more natural for civilised man to take a keen interest in his or her ancestors. We have, as never before, a desire to pass on to future generations the fleeting memories and mysteries of generations gone before. We want to know what kind of people our ancestors were, their names, how and where and when they lived. What led to decision to leave behind all that they held dear and embark on long dangerous journeys to strange lands they knew nothing of, often with little more than the clothes they stood up in. Ulster Ancestry undertake detailed ancestral research and family history research here in the Province of Ulster primarily in the Counties of Antrim, Armagh, Tyrone, Fermanagh, Down, Londonderry/Derry and Donegal.

Using the unique archives at the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland with it’s collection of numerous family pedigrees, family notes, wills, land records, deeds, leases, and most importantly both Catholic and Protestant Parish Church records of birth and marriage we work to put our clients in touch once again with their family roots here in Ireland. If you prefer to conduct your own family research you can save a considerable amount of time and greatly increase your chances of success by requesting a "Primary Report". In this Primary Report we will look for evidence of your family in the most important 19th century Irish genealogical resources , The Tithe Applotment Books (1824-1835) and Griffith’s Valuation of Ireland (1848-1864). We will tell you where and when your ancestors name is recorded in these records. We will also provide you with detailed information on available Church records for your ancestors Parish including what is available and what years are covered. (This report is available for all the Ulster Counties)
